Access to Patient records Online
Highcliffe Medical Practice has migrated onto a new clinical computer system recently Dec 2016). Our first communication implied that we would be able to transfer patients automatically however we have been instructed that this is no longer the case.
Can we please ask patients to make contact with the surgery to request to be re registered with the new online services. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
You will receive a tear-off slip with each prescription if you take medication regularly. Please use this slip to request repeat medication. Tick the items you need and return the slip to the surgery.
Repeat prescription requests are not taken by telephone as this can lead to mistakes. Please allow between 10-2 working days before collecting your prescription and an additional one working day to collect your medication thereafter.
Use the repeat slip attached to the prescription or put your request in writing, as we do not take request for medication over the telephone.
We also offer you the ability to order your repeat prescriptions online. Please use the link at the top of this page to take advantage of this service (registration required).
Please allow a minimum of three working days for your prescription to be ready. Please allow three days if you wish to collect your medication directly from the pharmacy.

Cliffe patients can obtain their medication from the dispensary at Cliffe Surgery but again please give us plenty of time to process it for you. To be on the safe side you can submit your request up 10 working days before you need it but we do ask at the very least a minimum of 3 working days please. Our dispensary team will always try to help out in an emergency but as you can appreciate we couldn't sustain this if everyone left it until they ran out.
The dispensary is open for queries from 0800-1300 daily from Monday to Friday however it is closed in the afternoons.
Routine medication is available for collection from reception from 0800-1300 and 1430-1800 Monday to Friday with the exception of Wednesdays when the surgery is closed.
Prescriptions issued by GPs in the afternoons will be processed and available the following day by the dispensary team or alternatively patients can take their prescription to a pharmacy of their choice.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow between 10 (Nice and early) and 2 (latest possible) working days, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed.

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs). The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
